News Archive » New Sponsor for CR Scuderia February 27, 2008 CR Scuderia announced today that the team is to be sponsored by Madhouse, a major fashion clothing retailer, with stores throughout the UK. Madhouse will provide new uniforms for the GT and Formula Renault race teams and its logo will be displayed on the team kit, the race cars and the transporters. Steve Mucklow, Managing Director of Madhouse, said: “I have a ten-year working relationship with Chris (Niarchos) through The Cobra Group plc. I think what he is doing with this new team is fantastic so I wanted to support him all the way. Presentation is important to CR Scuderia so we are going to make sure the entire team looks good both on and off the race track.” “Steve and I have been doing business together for many years,” said CRS Team Principal, Chris Niarchos. “He has personally supported my race career since it started so to have Madhouse as part of CR Scuderia is a fantastic addition to the team; this strengthens our commercial relationship even further.” The CRS GT team is currently at the Monteblanco Circuit in Spain, testing in preparation for the 2008 British and FIA GT seasons, whilst the CRS Formula Renault team tests at Rockingham in the UK.
