The Scuderia Ecosse team was at Dijon in France today, taking part in the pre-season media day for the 2006 FIA GT Championship. This is the first time the team has run publicly since receiving the new Ferrari 430s, therefore the first opportunity for the assembled media to see that the team will run on Michelin rubber in 2006.

Tim Mullen’s 1:18.855 lap topped the GT2 timesheets at the end of the day and the team was pleased to see that Chris Niarchos’ time was the fourth fastest overall in GT2, showing that the Niarchos/Mullen team is becoming stronger by the day.

Aside from many interview and filming commitments, the team continued working through its pre- season test programme, carrying on the good work from a three-day test in Jerez last week. Although at the top of the timesheets today the team is expecting fierce competition from the other GT2 teams at Silverstone in just under three weeks’ time.
