SCUDERIA ECOSSE RESPONSE TO AVON TYRES ANNOUNCEMENT

“In response to today’s formal announcement that Avon Tyres is to be both the new title sponsor, and exclusive supplier of tyres to the British GT Series from 2006, we recognise that this is a clear announcement; it’s a fait accompli.”

“We believe in the British GT series, and are committed to it. We recognise that change is often inevitable in business, as it is in life, often for the better. In recognition of the superb work that Dunlop have done for us, our competitors, and the series to date, we thank them for their efforts and support, and look forward to continuing that relationship as we battle for the Championship through the remainder of 2005. It would appear that Avon’s commitment is serious in terms of design, manufacture, supply, and technology, and therefore, we embrace this change. Further, we are confident that the promotional activities of Avon can only serve to strengthen the series’ and therefore our own commercial offering.”
